The Mt Barker United Soccer Club’s ethos is to provide an opportunity to any player, regardless of age, gender or ability. We want to allow everyone the opportunity to participate in playing soccer/football, no matter where they come from and who they are.
Arriving at the club, a player has the opportunity to choose their own pathway. Each pathway provides a player with the same experience at the club.
Boys and Girls
We have two unique pathways for juniors at our club. No matter which pathway a child chooses, we aim to give them the same encouragement, coaching and pleasure for playing.
Boys and Girls ages 4-17
The community pathway guides players into the amateur pathway for players. The players compete in the Adelaide Hills Junior Soccer Association (AHJSA).
The teams within the AHJSA are all Adelaide Hills based. The AHJSA is an affiliate of FootballSA. These matches are played on a Saturday with training once a week.
The coaches are aptly qualified with Football SA training badges with the guidance of the club’s coaching coordinator and director.
Players aged 4-10 are encouraged to participate in our community pathway.
Development Squad Boys and Girls ages 4-6
The Development squad is for beginner players to “find their feet”. An introductory experience where players participate in friendly, welcoming and non-competitive training sessions which aim to develop their skills as players and team members.

Boys and Girls ages 10-17
The Academy pathway guides players towards playing soccer/football at the highest level. Players compete in the Football SA Junior Premier League (JPL) competition.
By playing against elite competition, players are given the experience to raise their game and develop at a higher level.
Matches are played on Sunday with training twice a week.
