Run by dedicated volunteers working to facilitate genuine participation pathways for players regardless of age, ability or gender, Mt Barker United SC is a club with strong community connection. We strive to provide quality playing and training facilities, equipment and qualified, passionate coaches to enable players in the Mt Barker and Adelaide Hills regions to fulfil their own football ambitions.

With roots dating back to the early 1960’s, Mt Barker United Soccer Club officially incorporated in 1982. A strong performance history in various junior and senior competitions across the journey provided the club with a solid foundation and the confidence to compete at the highest level.

In 2016 Mt Barker Untied took the first step towards the top by joining the Football SA tier three senior men’s competition – NPLSA State League 2. This move established the club as one of the top 36 clubs in the state. It also enabled the re-introduction of teams into the Football SA Junior Premier League after a 10 year absence. Giving our players a pathway to the highest levels of the sport.

To compliment the semi-professional pathway, the club is well represented in the local grass roots junior competition – the Adelaide Hills Junior Football Association (AHJFA) and has a number of senior men’s, women’s and girls teams playing in state community competitions. This enables us to live to our ethos of participation for all regardless of age, ability or gender and it currently sees Mt Barker United currently fielding over 25 teams involving more than 360 players.

Whilst results on the pitch are important and one metric to which a club’s success is judged, at Mt Barker United we also place a premium on a strong, caring culture around the club, where all players are valued and their welfare is paramount from u6 right through to the senior first teams. To this end the club continues to implement a number of programs in the physical and mental health space, to ensure we’re taking care of all of those in our football family.
