Social Programs

We know that people’s reasons for playing football change over time — whether it’s about staying active, meeting new people, or simply enjoying the game without the pressure. That’s why Mt Barker United SC is committed to offering a broad range of social football opportunities, making sure there’s always a place to play, no matter where life takes you.

Football, Without the Fuss

Looking for a kick without the commitment? Our Social Soccer Programs are all about good times, fresh air, and a shared love of the game — no matter your age, gender, or skill level. Whether you’re chasing a midweek runaround, a one-off event with mates, or just looking to meet new people through football, this is your space.

These sessions aren’t about leagues, ladders or trophies — they’re about community, connection and having a bit of fun with the ball at your feet. Open to men, women, boys and girls, our social programs are casual by design — pop-up matches, mixed games, and friendly sessions where the vibe is more important than the result.

Our first jump into this field is Kicking It Social – A weekly social soccer session held Friday nights at the Summit Sport and Recreation Park.

And we’re not stopping there. We’re also working towards creating more inclusive opportunities, with future programs aiming to support people of all abilities to get involved and feel part of the football family.

Whether you’re here for fitness, friendship or just a laugh and a kick, you’re welcome at Mt Barker United SC’s Social Soccer Programs. Come and be part of the fun — boots optional.

Sure is! This is a social program which allows you to play when you are available.

Is there offside?
Similar to normal 7v7 there is no offside to worry about!

More to come

To the future..

We’re excited about the future of social football at Mt Barker United SC. While our current offerings are just the beginning, we’re actively working on expanding opportunities for players of all backgrounds, ages, and abilities to enjoy the game in a relaxed, inclusive environment.

Whether it’s midweek kick-arounds, themed social events, mixed-gender matches, or programs designed to support accessibility and inclusion, our goal is to create a welcoming space where everyone can connect through football.

No matter your experience level or how often you play, we want you to feel part of something enjoyable and community-driven. More social opportunities are on the horizon — and we can’t wait to share them with you.forward
