Mt Barker United Juniors Take the Next Step in Youth Development

Now that the junior season is underway, we wanted to say a special congratulations to our junior teams at Mt Barker United Soccer Club on their entry into the Nova Youth Club Championship for season 2026!

This achievement reflects a huge amount of hard work behind the scenes. Over many months our volunteers, coaches, committee members and families have worked tirelessly to ensure the club is ready to take part in this important youth competition.

A special thank you goes to two special people at the club, Junior Technical Director Jonathan Betts and Junior Coordinator Elle Mawby, whose leadership, planning and dedication have helped guide the club through the process and ensure our junior program continues to grow and develop.

The Nova Youth Club Championship brings together leading youth clubs while placing a strong focus on holistic player development. It promotes a structured pathway for young players, encourages strong coaching standards, and supports a respectful and positive match day environment for players, officials and families.

Importantly, Mt Barker United is the only club in the Adelaide Hills providing this level of youth opportunity this year, offering local players a clear pathway to develop their skills while staying connected to their community.

Club President Tash Raven congratulated everyone involved, recognising the collective effort that has gone into reaching this milestone and highlighting the club’s ongoing commitment to creating the best possible environment for young players to learn, grow and enjoy the game.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed their time, energy and support to make this possible. We’re excited to see our young players take this next step in their football journey.

Well done to all involved and best of luck for the season ahead.
