Mt Barker United Reserves pulled off a huge upset, defeating ladder-leaders Adelaide University 1–0 in a thrilling contest away from home.

After a tense, goalless first half, Henry Knight struck in the 71st minute with a composed finish — his second of the season — To the joy of the travelling Mt Barker United fans. The side held firm under late pressure, with key contributions from subs and a fired-up Alessio Carrocci, who earned a stoppage-time yellow in the heat of the battle.
